Science Week
Science is promoted on campus through fun-filled activities and events that promote career-development for students within the College of Science.
New Student Orientation
The purpose of the orientation is to prepare and put on informational sessions for incoming first-year students in the College of Science.
5K Spooky Sprint
Halloween Costume Contest through Horticulture Park. This event constitutes at PSSC’s Fall fundraiser and is open to the Purdue and West Lafayette Community.
Homecoming Tent - College of Science
Each year during Homecoming PSSC sells College of Science merchandise and provide information regarding latest developments in the College of Science for alumni and all other interested parties.
Fall Programs:
College of Science Outstanding Teacher Award
PSSC coordinates an effort for all the juniors and seniors in the College of Science to vote for top 10 outstanding teachers in the College of Science.
Spring Fest and Research Forum
This one-day fair provides undergraduate students an opportunity to meet with professors who are looking for students to help with research.

Grade Appeals Committee
Several PSSC members are selected to serve on the College of Science grade appeals committee.
Science Discovery
Science Discovery is an outreach program for local elementary schools. The goal is to give the kids a fresh perspective on what science can be. A small group of PSSC members will go into classrooms with a fun activity that encourages the students to use scientific thinking. This activity will teach basic scientific concepts that are easily understood and shows the children how science is part of their everyday lives.
Scientific Notation
Two to three times a semester, PSSC publishes a newsletter with information useful to students in the College of Science. Check out these publications!
